October Open Day 2009

Saturday 17th October. Enjoying the last of the autumn sunshine, we pulled down the beans and dug over the bed. We moved the plastic greenhouse to a more sunny spot at the back ready for next year. Some sad person has nicked the compost bin from in front of the allotment so we brought in the loose compost and worked it in with the other two bins. Smelly but great! BOST were doing wonderful face painting and tattoos as well as making pictures with furry caterpillers.Gathering leaf mulchshovelling compostRotting vegetation - brown goldstripping out the tomatoesMoving the greenhouse4 person jobGreen tomatoes for chutneyLittle diggersGirls like wormswormdragon tattoo
